On November 9th, 2011, I went to Nicaragua with my school, Lincoln Middle School. Lincoln has done this for the past 4 years, every year. This was the last year we were going to go. Down in Nicaragua, we helped out an orphanage and a Library. The orphanage is called Los Quinchos. Quincho was the name of the boy who started the whole thing. Quincho and his brother and sister survived through a terrible earthquake in Niacragua. He sold kites made out of the rubbage from the earthquake to make money to help them survive. Someone found quinch, and made a orphage, one building for boys and one building for girls. At the library we hun gout with some of the local school kids. The library also has a mobil library truck so we went to some schools and read them a book in spanish and then gave them a bucket full of books. I had so much fun on this trip and I wish I could go back. And yes, I did take all of these photos.
